Windows xp safemode

Hello my computer will not boot up it gives me options to start in various safe modes but just goes round in a loop. It just will not start just a black screen asking me to start in safe modes but will not boot up.

Do I have to reload windows xp ? I have a copy of Manual Utilities Drivers that came with the computer. If so how do I wipe off the old software. Thanks

Is it going into a loop when you leave it to boot normally or when you select safe mode?

I would try safe mode and post back here with what happens.

Just had a laptop in doing this.


When in safe mode does it freeze at file AVGidshx.sys?

Do you use AVG ? Apparently latest update b0rks it.
