please could you offer some advice re sash window in our bathroom.
the front of the property is upvc double glazing set in original wooden frames
we have two original sash windows remaining at the back of the property
we are refurbishing the bathroom and wish to address the issue of the very drafty sash window - it is single glazed and we would like to replace with doubled glased safety glass.
we have had a quote from a builder who recommended fitting a uvpc double glazed unit into the original outer sash window frame.
we would prefer this option to ripping out the whole window but wonder about preserving the frame to mimimise future maintainence especially as it is a bathroom window with increase moisture in the room.
