If you can get chip repairs done free through your insurance, get it done sooner than later as I have had experience of being told that the chip area is too dirty. Usually the repair is good enough to pass a MOT. P.S. If you can have the repair done for free, make sure that you use a company recommended by the insurer's otherwise they may refuse to pay for it.
