Wireless 433Mhz alarm accessories universally compatable?

Can anyone tell me if wireless pir sensors will work with alarm systems which are different brands using the same frequency?

E.G. Would a Yale HSA6020 433.92MHz wireless sensor work with a generic alarm on the same frequency?

Just like you can fit any wireless room stat to any brand of boiler

No, although the radio frequency may match, the data protocol is normally specific to the RF receiver attached to or located in the panel.
