Which is best for Baxi Duotec in new house with high insulation level therefore minimum heat loss.Honeywell CM927 or DT92E have been suggested but are there any others. (Bad review on DT92E manual!.) Would therefore use temperature control rather than timer BUT would that be too limiting

927 - no brainer. 92e is just a thermostat.

Don't forget half the features on the 927 are disabled form the factory.

Thanks Dan. Expand a bit on comment about disabled functions from factory please.

Optimization, window open and pump exercise functions are disabled from the factory due to people being - how to put it - a tad on the dumb side.

Honeywell had too many complaints about the heating having a mind of its own.

90% of the time these functions should be enabled to get the most out of the controls.

There are situations where they can be a bit of a pain though - but it is best to try them on first. It is all in the manual.

Thanks again Dan. Whilst a multi tasking small developer of nearly 40 years and supposed to be retired ( but then that would mean I`d be bored and my guys redundant) I now rely on registered contractors for much of my work (Commisioning etc). But its hard to "let go" besides I find that they don`t always seem to know the effects of their work on other trades so I still stick my nose in. You`ve been very helpfull.
