Hi everyone.

I'm going to be boarding the loft before it gets too cold. Got some loft legs to up the insulation by another 170mm while I'm at it.

Good practice is to keep wiring on top of insulation, but this isn't always possible. I was thinking of running the lighting cables through plastic conduit where it goes into the insulation, so air can get around it (I have to replace a couple of broken light fittings so will have the cables free).

What do you think? Pointless or good practice? Would be interested to hear your opinion.

Cheers,

P

Brilliant, thank you.

No shower cables up there, just a 1mm2 lighting radial. And what looks like an old rat nest.

So it looks like I should be more worried about Leptospirosis than overheating wires. Awesome.

Ta,

P.
