when replacing a consumer unit and finding the wires for a number of circuits to short would it be acceptable to use junction boxes? or replace cable ?even if it means chasing out a lot of plasterwork ? thoughts?? especially NIC guys.

get a spark to change the boad and he will use insulated crimps so there is no need to chase cables back into the wall.

I'm an ex NIC guy if that is any good  (I left through choice BTW)

I agree with Ricicle and B-A-S
