Wiring a number of downlights

Hi

Could somebody please advise how a number of downlights should be wired...

Should it be as in Circuit 1 or Circuit 2 below?

Electrically as circuit 1, there is no need to create a ring. You may wire as the circuit 2 without the return loop. You have not drawn earths in the picture to the lights, please note the need run in and terminate locally to the light even if not required (as the light may be replaced by an earthed metal fitting at a later date).

Yes.. You are correct, I have forgotten to draw the earths to the lights.

I assumed the same 1.5mm twin & earth would go to each light.
