wiring a pull switch

Can any one help. I am trying to wire a pull switch but instructions only show earth and live. Where does the neutral go? BTW using Twin and earth Black Red and Earth.

no neutral, i imagine it will be...

com L1 L2

use common & one of the others( L1 OR L2), it matters not which colour you use on which terminal

If you are replacing an existing pull switch that has only one cable with red black and bare copper with green yellow sleeve then the red wire is live and the black wire is switched live and NOT neutral. The BLACK should have a red sleeve ( tape) on it.

Live RED to COM and switch live BLACK to L1
