Hello,

I am thinking ahead asto when I fit my two motorised valves and notices that the 6 wires (I think) are not particulary long.

Does this mean that I have to situate the wiring centre terminal near to the valves and extend the other wires i.e the 240v feed and control or do people extend the valve wires ( I thought unlikely)?

Thanks

If all your controls are in the airing cupboard eg pump,2 m/v's.cyl stat, and a permanent supply then it makes sense to wire all those to a wiring centre fitted close by.You could consider a wireless room stat setup(receiver close to wiring centre) and all that remains is a supply to boiler
bearing in mind the wiring requirements of your boiler.

Thanks for replies

Well most of the controls are in a utiltiy room downstairs and not particulary close to the airing cupboard.

I suppose it makes sense to run 2.5m T & E to the junction box (from the boiler stat) and or 3 core and earth for the room stat rather then fiddling on possibly moving the 6 wires from the 2 port valves!?

So the junction box goes pretty close to the valves (so they can reach without being extended)?

Thanks
