Newbie here, so apologies if my Forum etiquette is not the best :)

So I'm replacing my Honeywell T40 thermostat with a wireless Salus (RT310RF) version, but I just want to make sure I'm getting the wiring right.

The existing wiring for the Honeywell is;

with the current wiring as below;

The wiring diagram for the Salus is as below;

So I'm just wondering how I would wire the Salus up, with the wires I have?

I have it in my head that on the Salus;

Black = N
Brown = L
Grey = NO
+ link from COM to L

Does this sound correct?

Many thanks

Sounds good to me.

FYI you should really have posted this in the 'Plumbing and Central Heating' or 'Electrics UK' forum. See the note below which is shown at the top of this ('Your Projects') forum.

Ahhh sorry, apologies for posting in the wrong forum.

Thanks for the confirmation of the wiring.

No worries you're welcome. At least you didn't make the mistake of realising before I answered and posting the same request in one of the other forums.

Edit
Ah! just noticed in the electrics UK forum that you did. it's not going terribly well so far is it? ;) See no 5 here.

...and to make matters worse, I can't find the face-palm emoji either! :(

Lesson learnt. Won't happen again :)
