Hi,

I have a IMM24 timer switch for my heating.

I wish to replace it with a Horstmann Centaurplus C17 and want to check what the new wiring should be.

Currently the IMM24 has the following wiring:

connector 1 - Live Out - Red cable to boiler
connector 2 - Live In - Red cable from mains
connector 3 - Neutral - one blue cable and one black cable (from mains and to boiler)

So looking at the C17 wiring, would the following be correct:

N - cable currently in connector 3
L - cable currently in connector 2
1 - N/A
2 - labeled boiler live out - cable currently in connector 2
3 - N/A
4 - labeled switch live return to boiler - N/A.

Many thanks

What is the timer controlling?

Or what kind of boiler?
Lots of people call immersions boilers.

The timer is controlling the boiler which is a Warmflow 50/70, Riello G40 burner.

That's alright then - but

connector 1 - Live Out - Red cable to boiler
connector 2 - Live In - Red cable from mains
connector 3 - Neutral - one blue cable and one black cable (from mains and to boiler)

So looking at the C17 wiring, would the following be correct:

N - cable currently in connector 3
L - cable currently in connector 2
1 - N/A
2 - labeled boiler live out - cable currently in connector 2
3 - N/A
4 - labeled switch live return to boiler - N/A.

NO, not correct.

N - cable currently in connector 3
L - cable currently in connector 2 - Plus link to 2
1 - N/A
2 - labeled boiler live out - link from L
3 - N/A
4 - labeled switch live return to boiler - cable currently in connector 1

The instructions for your boiler state that it be protected by a 5A fuse.
The programmer is only rated at 3A.
If you already have a 3A fuse protecting the circuit then all is well.

If it is 5A perhaps someone with knowledge of the boiler (I haven't) will confirm if this is relevant.

Thanks for that. I just checked the boiler and it is protected by a 5A fuse in the garage.
