Hi all, thought I'd start a new thread as my last question may have got lost in my other thread.

Just trying to understand my system a bit more while looking at wiring diagrams as to how it should look. Attached a picture of my wiring centre but there seems to be a few odd or unconventional connections. My system has a pump overrun facility which works as it should presumably but it doesn't look as though the pump is connected to the boiler directly but is so via the programmer 2 stories away. Can the programmer be used as a junction box to replicate this connection instead of doing it at the wiring centre

It's quite normal for the wires connecting the pump and the boiler to pass through the wiring centre as a means of connecting the wires from each of them together, which seems might be the case in your photo on your other thread.

However, it is a bit unusual for it to also be routed via the programmer, but so along as the cables are connected together properly, and the boiler's 'pump' terminals are actually connected to the pump, albeit via a torturous route, that's OK. [Sometimes only the pump L is connected to the boiler, and the N picked up locally elsewhere] Strange routing of cables can happen when systems are modified, or sometimes with a boiler change when the pump overrun is added later.

FYI, you shouldn't really duplicate your posts, it's against forum rule 5. it can get very confusing sometimes when there are two threads going with the same question. Also, folks can waste their time answering questions that have already been answered by someone else elsewhere.
