Looked at the diagrams of the wiring for domestic lights on the wiki/sticky (Very Helpfull)

For my upstairs lights what I have is junction boxes which run off to each individual light not from 1 light to the other then the next is this ok and acceptable?

Next question is I want to run a new wire to the bedroom light. I can get access to the roof from the room next door which will be replastered, I can route the cable to that room between the floor joists but if I run it to the middle of the bedroom it will be underneth the rock wool between the bedroom roof and the loft floor (Already laid).

Do I need to shift all the rock wool or is it ok to go over the top of it?

Thanks. :D
