Hi, I've been totally revamping our kitchen and now after 18 months am nearing the finish. I have just laid some Vysa Film radiant heating film under the laminate floor.
The total load will be 1260 watts, by my calaulations that makes it 5.25 amps.
Would I be OK to use .75mm cable to connect this? I'm keen to keep the cable as small as poss, cos then I can hide it behind the skirting/architrave.
Many thanks for any comments - Chris

0.75mm flex will take 6A but
I can hide it behind the skirting/architrave.
is a no as not within the permitted zones.
For a cable designed to be hidden I have not seen 0.75mm and I would think 1mm is about the smallest you will get. Table 52.3 in BS7671:2008 lists 1mm as smallest cable for "Power and lighting circuits" only "Flexible connection with non-sheathed and sheathed cables" are allowed to go down to 0.75mm
