Wiring smart stat to Viessman Vitodens 050

Hi

I’m trying to wire a Honeywell T6R smart stat to a new Viessman Vitodens 050 combi. Can anyone tell me if the link in block 96 needs to be removed? Thanks.

It does show the connections, ⁣⁣but says

so not sure if any links need removing. Hopefully someone who has worked with OpenTherm will turn up, personally even as an electrician I would not be fitting a new OpenTherm thermostat in the winter, that's a summer job, when there is time to correct any errors.

I don't know where block 96 is, but looking at @ericmark's photo it it's the link then yes remove it

Since both boiler and controller can use OpenTherm I am assuming that is the method being used, but could use on/off as well.

I have never had the option of using OpenTherm, and I don't have a clue as to if links need removing or not, but would look for a post where the reply makes it clear they know you're using OpenTherm.
