A bit of advice please.
At work there is an old 18 way fusebox.

It has a 4inch trunking across the top and another 4inch trunking across the bottom.

Possibly over 10 years ago someone , wanting to get from the bottom trunking to the top trunking, has run about six cables via the fusebox.

The install is all pvc singles and the unknown circuits are not jointed or cut in the board, just passing through.

The fusebox is 3 phase 400 volt and contains aprox 15 ways/circuits in use.
They have had someone who has said this is a "priority 2 defect"
"Either reroute cables or provide warning notice."

Although possibly bad practice, is there a reg against doing this and does such a warning notice exist.

Someone working on the 3 phase board will turn off the main isolator thinking that everything inside the board is dead, when there could still be 400v. So yes, a warning notice is vital. Re-routing would be better.

514.11.1 and 537.2.1.3 for the warning notice.

521.8.1 regarding installing the cables through the fusebox

Are these cables from a different supply to the dist board?

Running cables through a distribution board where they don't belong will cause a lot of grief in the long run. I had to change out the top board where there were two boards bushed together vertically. All the singles entered from a piece of trunking above the first board and the cables for the lower board travelled through the first. Nightmare. In your case if you ever need to change the board you will have a barrel of laughs. May as well re-route them now when you can do it under scheduled circumstances.
