Hello!

I swapped a lightswitch from my box room to my kitchen (dimmer switch failed) and managed to do that fine.
I taped up the wires in the socket for the box room until I got to the shops to buy a light switch.
I got a one way & a two way switch (no idea what I needed, and they were only 99p) and now I wish to wire up.

The wires are as follows - 3 red, and one with no visible sleeve, just a copper wire.
Where do I put 'em on my switch?

Is there another switch which worked the same light?

Are these cables singles, or are any of them part of a multi-core one?

Did you also buy some earth sleeving?

Do you have a multimeter so that you can identify the permanent live?

If you know so little about wiring that an earth is to you "unknown" should you be doing any of this at all?

No idea. Where were they connected before?

Are all the blacks connected together?

From where did you disconnect the bare wire?

Were two of the reds connected together in the same terminal before?
