Did you get a result on this? I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WMS38. The door lock light won't stop flashing and the machine won't start.

Sorry for taking so long to reply to this one. Took a bit of digging to get the information.
Unfortunately it appears that you have a problem with the main control board. (expensive).
If your machine is less than 5 years old, contact Hotpoint as the parts are covered by a 5 year warranty.
