Women only car insurance companies

What do you think? Do you feel this is right?
I didn't, so i complained to the iTc, their response was this:

"Section 45 of the Sex Discrimination Act permits preferential treatment in relation to certain types of insurance. The company have received substantiation to show that female drivers have a better claims record on their motor insurance policies than male drivers. As such [the company] is entitled to offer preferential rates to women"

I still don't feel it is right, i mean statistics can show many many things... for example what if white drivers' claims are better then black or Asian claims? Would a 'whites only' insurance company be acceptable? Or would an Asians only company be allowed?

Yea but are they any cheaper? I think not.
Wife and daughter both managed cheaper quotes from "normal" good-quality insurance companies

I'm sure that this is true if Mrs Megawatt is anything to go by because ... She NEVER uses her car.

It would be better to have women only roads I think ... Well segregated from proper safe male drivers.

Obviously blinded them with science since insurance rates are not and have never been based on accident rates . They are based on time you are expected to be driving hence the cheaper rates for women as they spend less time driving.
Incidently the latest result show women are involved in 49% of all accidents, given the low % of women driving this reflects badly on them.

We rang a load of supposedly 'women only' or those 'specialising in women' companies when we were trying to sort out our daughters insurance...in many cases they were big comapnies like Norwich Union etc who just had another add in the yellow pages...in a few cases we got through to the same dept

i think my insurance should be based on my driving, not on the poor driving of a few hundred thousand boy racers.... of which the only thing i have in common is the fact we're males...
