hi guys,
im back with yet another problem......
i want to know if i can lay floorboards in my cellar without securing to the floor????
you see i have a concrete floor in the cellar which i thought and tested to have a DPM underneath it.....IT DID NOT THOUGH...so can i lay Visqueen (1200 gauge DPM) on top then some foam underlay (laminate stuff 2mm) to protect it...then some 2x1 timber (for beams) then attach the floorboards to these????
cant afford to lose more than 2 inches in height you see....and i dont wanna replace the concrete floor either....
help greatfully received
Gazza!!!
ps hoping to use reclaimed floorboards...
pps have a newly layed concrete floor in the 'new cellar room' with DPM...can i attach timber directly to this without the need for another DPM??
