Have wooden bath panels that were stained then waxed - I want to enhance the staining but am concerned if this will take on top of wax or what is the best way of removing the wax - would wire wool be best?
any ideas please - thanks

Depends how long the wax has been on. The stain or varnish will not take on a wax surface as it needs to be degreased. Wire wool dipped in white spirit may do but you may need a degreaser of some kind first.
