Hi,

I am replacing a floor and some joists as they have had woodworm in places - I plan to remove all traces of wood and sweep out the sub floor - Is there a spray that you can get to spray any remaining joists to ensure the worm is killed off?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Have a look in Wickes, they sell Woodworm and an wood all treatment (dry/wet rot and woodworm)

You will notice that the instructions / ingredience on the Cuprinol is exactly the same as the Wickes one. You will save about 5-10 quid on a 5L drum.

I got a wickes hand sprayer, which is really good and saves faffing about with paint brushes. Also created a bended lance out of microbore to get in underneath some boards.

Make sure you use a decent mask - I am not sure how big your job is but i have been spraying rooms. I use a 3M mask with organic filter and leave the house for 24 hr after spraying.

good luck. :D
