I have a wooden Bathroom ceiling and want to change the colour. It has not been varnished for over ten years if varnished at all. What is the best way to paint and what is the best type of paint to use. Any useful tips on ensuring the paint does not flake off.

Many thanks in advance

I wouls sugar soap it to remove amy grease. Then two coats of oil based undercoat. light sanding between coats. Then two coats of Dulux satinwod to finish. Did my sisters like this and it looks great. :D

Brilliant. That seems sound advice and simple to achieve.

Thanks very much.
