Apologies if this is in the wrong section guys. I have moved into a new house and the previous owner had 2 feature walls built into the alcoves of the living room. We want to remove them but I want to check the best way to do it.

My plan is to get a crowbar and or chisel to it and try to pull the planks of wood off then just unscrew anything that is left and attached to the wall without damaging it too much.

Sound good?

In one of the pics I can see celotex insulation boards. Keep those. Take everything else off, then maybe fit plasterboard over the celotex.

I see coving at the top. That will make it interesting.
