Wooden Front Door repair

Hello All.

Looking to repair my wooden front door on the inside.

Over the many years, the beading holding the glass is looking tired and crumbly in the obvious places.

Please can anyone advise me on what to use to repair the wood ready for priming and glossing again.

Does it require wood oil putty or wood filler or something else?

I have attached some images of the state before and during the process I am doing at the moment, using a iron bristle to remove the old paint and dead wood.

New wooden quadrant..
Remove a bottom peace and assess.
There are racks at DIY stores full of different wooden quadrant. Find one that fits

Thanks Wayners, but the quadrants are both heavily glued and tacked in. Too much of a big job, time wise and expense that I really don't have at the moment. Boiler and optician bills just come in! Plus, I don't know what damage I would do to the actual door frame trying to remove the quadrants!

I am more than happy to tidy, fill, clean and paint.

I just don't know what putty would be best to 'round off' the old quadrants in preparation for priming and glossing??

Use a low masking tape quality tape
Something like masq purple.
2 pack resin wood filler. Shape up.
Sand and paint.
Landlord special but will do job

This is all a huge learning curve for me so apologies for the dumb questions.

Why Masq Purple and not normal masking tape?

Please give an example of the 2 pack resin wood filler and why not normal wood filler?

Cheap masking tape is same day removal although Tesa cheap tape is 3 days. Rubber adhesive.
Get the sun on it and glue will weld it on. Can be difficult to remove.
Masq purple is 90 day removal. Comes off easy.

Thanks for the explanation Wayners.
Looking at the whole door image, each pane needs addressing, so which size tub do you think I need as I don't want to waste money on buying an excessive tub of filler, please?
Sizes vary but look to come in 500/600gm or 1.25kg. 250g is probably not enough.

Tub goes along way but you will probably need to buy extra hardner which ever size you buy.

Start with a 500 I guess and see how it works out

Does this filler have any strength?

I have an old door with a mortice where a lock used to be, I want to fill it with a lock-sized block of ply, but the hole is rather irregular, so I need to pack it with something.
