Hi guys,
I've just moved into a place with a loft room with a wood framed skylight window.

Recently I've noticed that where condensation is building up on the inside of the window and running down, the bottom of the frame has become damp and looking a bit mouldy.

Is there anything I can do to protect it or prevent it from getting any worse?

Cheers!

More ventilation at the top or fit a auto humidity fan to control the condensation

Would a dehumidifier work?

The loft room is also the main bedroom so would prefer to avoid having to leave it on overnight or anything!

Up to the point it does but does blow out warm moisture into the room again

thanks for your help, will have a think about it!

in the meantime is it worth putting anything on the damp window frame?

You can but the moisture got to go somewhere and may end up more on the cold surface of the glass! Most common problem in bedroom is when you're breathing!!!! My son sleep in the loft conversion and I fitted a ridge tile vents on top with a open/shut mesh vent to take out the moisture at night
