Daughter moved into her new home and found the kitchen wooden worktop felt a bit sticky in places, she scrubbed it down but still seems sticky. How can this be sorted ?
Very old post I know but people still get this problem because they have been using spray detergent on an oiled worktop. The detergent breaks down theoil after time and it becomes sticky. "Rubbing it down" is not a real solution because the sticky oil clogs up the sand paper in seconds. There I another similar post on this place, a more detailed response can be found there.
