Hi,

just purchased a house with the above boiler which is working perfectly but is probably 15 years old or more, should I have it changed for a new condenser?

I am not sure about its efficiency but I imagine it is pretty inefficient compared to a modern boiler but is the cost in replacing it worth it? I have also read a lot of reports about condenser efficiency ratings being ambitious and their life expectancy to be considerably less than older standard boilers.

Any advice welcome.

Carefully used a new boiler might save about 12% more.

Not worth doing unless your bill is high.

Replace when it next needs a significant repair! That could be 5-10 years!
