worcester 24cdi problem

the boiler is 8 years old when it fires up for ch it runs for a while till room stat kicks in. Then it cycles by firing up running for 30 seconds then switching off again. and so on.
Never noticed it doing this before in previous years.
Is this normal

OK LETS PUT IT A DIFFERENT WAY. THE BOLIER FIRES UP THE CENTRAL HEATING. IT HEATS UP THE HOUSE TO THE TEMPRATURE SET ON THE CONTROL ON THE WALL IN THE HALL. IT THEN TURNS OFF. A FEW MINS LATER IT FIRES UP AGAIN, RUNS FOR 30 SECONDS AND TURNS OFF AND SO ON AND SO ON.
MY QUESTION ONCE AGAIN IS, IS THIS NORMAL AS I HAVE NEVER NOTICED THE BOILER TO KEEP CYCLING LIKE THIS. OR IS THERE SOMETHING THAT IS NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY.

Is the room stat fitted too close to a radiator?

Is the pump on at least "2".

Strange attitude you have,how about you check the room stat is not blocked with fur balls or similar.
