Worcester 24cdi remote thermostat

Hi,

I am new here and hopefully I have covered everingthing with this post....

I have Worcester Combi in the title and the thermostat on the wall is not turning the heating on anymore. The thermostat is a digital one that you can programme times and temperatures into and the boiler has a 'receiving' unit with 2 light on it - red & green.

If i turn the thermostat up the heating wont start on its own. A red light is constantly showing on the boiler. I can press 'learn'on the boiler receiver and a green light comes on and the heating will fire up, and if I press it again the heating goes off, it just wont run in conjunction with the stat.

I have replaced the batteries in the thermostat on the wall but it has made no difference. Is there anything else I should be checking before I get a proffesional in to have a look. If the receiver unit is not working, can I change it or is it best left in the hands of someone qualified?

If you have the manuf instructions then there is a section on re associating the sender and the receiver. If not go to the worcester website.
