Worcester 24i Combi Boiler constantly resetting

OK - I have measured the flowrate and it is very close to 6 litres a minute of hot water (though a mixer valve).

The gas meter has a little red dial that goes around when the boiler is on.

Once again - thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Sounds like you have a block/restriction somewhere, and the boiler is not modulating down.
Turn the hot water on full, NOT trough a mixer, wait a minute to stabelise, and time carefully how long it takes for the dial to round exactly once.

Right - sorry about the delay.

Tried it with the only non-mixer hot tap in the flat.

The red dial takes 50 seconds to go around once.

The flow rate remains around 6 litres a minute.

Hope this gives some clues?

Your boiler is using about 22 kw, which should be enough to heat up around 10 l/min. As you are only getting 6 l/min through, the boiler will overheat if it does not modulate down.
this seems to indicate a control problem, most likely either the sensor, or the board.
Time to call out a RGI.

That's great! Thanks for all your help - its really appreciated. Now I just have to find an RGI...!

The best way by far is to ask friends, colleagues, neighbours for somebody local they have used before, and keep using.

the boiler in question has a biflow heat exchanger and not a plate hex
