nauseous

Never worked properly since I moved in to property 3 yrs ago..only way to light from cold is to run hot tap first, it ignites pilot for a second or so then goes out, have to keep repeating this sometimes up to 5 mins.
In winter have to heat it up boiler with a fan heater otherwise be there all day..
had the flame sensor replaced but it made no difference at all, can't work it out, anyone got any suggestions please?..

Yes mate
Get it serviced by a Gas bloke.
Explain symptoms first and be prepared to pay for a repair where necessary.
Jeff

been serviced and he replaced the AFS, still no better off infact i'm £130 worse off now (sob) just cannot trust some of these cowboy GS people,
most the ones i've had the misfortune to meet see us as some sort
of stupid cashcows, and have no qualms milking us whatsoever.

so noone can help me then? can't help noticing so many people with problems on this board are left high and dry and given scant advice.
is this site some kind of brotherhood thing forcing us all into the hands of unscrupulous sharks, who probably moan all the time at the govt for rinsing them yet delight at shafting us poor folk who are all at their mercy.

don't suppose I'll get any help now lol..ban me if you see fit...

Some faults can't be fixed/diagnosed over t'internet. (And DIY gas advice is not allowed.) As said get a "proper" heating engineer who will fix it for you (at a price if course). Get friends/family recommendations to be on the safe side.

yes i can appreciate that, nicely fobbed off btw..

I'm not asking how can 'I' fix it, just some ideas so I can discuss with the engineer in order that he does his job properly hopefully instead of treating me as a muppet and drinking tea n shoving as many as our chocolate digestives down his throat whilst eyeing my lovely young looking wife up and down..

Get a local guy to carry out repair or get worcester in for fixed price repair.

Wouldn't mind coming round to check yer wife out even though you sound like a pain in ass to work for..

Good luck.....

How fit is your wife?😂
very.. srs

yes thank you, think I may be trying one of those 'local' poles out, hopefully he'll be a little more appreciative of the work and happy not to try to totally bankrupt me in the process.

oh and btw to even entice her to look at you with any interest, at least be clean shaven and smart looking and preferably not smelling of one of Ghandis flip flops and maybe not flash the crack of his ass when bent over like the last expert who mugged us.

Try learning to fix it yourself then it'll be free. Apart from the cost of courses. You'll also get to keep your tasty, though more likely she-devil look-a-like wife to yourself.
