Sister-in-law has the above, and her issue is with the hot water pressure, which is a trickle. She has been told by BG that her boiler is scaled up, and may need to be replaced. Second opinion from the 'specialists' out there would be appreciated
Thanks guys. The cold pressure is fine, the boiler is a few years old, and she has only been in there for 8 months or so. It's a rented flat, and the landlord has been told about the boiler being scaled up by BG. She said that the engineer 'poked about a bit' inside the boiler casing for about '5 minutes without getting any tools out'. Not being familiar with gas boilers ( I'm an oilman ), didn't want to tell her that the engineer was wrong
The 24i has a bi flow heat exchanger so its very possible the HW side is scaled up.
but have you checked the filter on cold inlet ,think it is just by the flowswitch
