Hi all hope you might be able to help me on this one ,
I am a installer mainly and never really get into combi repairs but having a look for a customer of mine who gives me a fair deal of work in his properties.
The tenants list of boiler faults,
Hot water works but heating fails to fire boiler
Some times neither works till you remove case from boiler and tap APS
Apparently after a demand the fan doesn't stop running till you turn off power at wall socket and turn back on.
Flue bend on top getting extremely hot.
Looked a few times couple of times i couldn't see anything at all wrong heating and hot water worked fine
Next visit boiler not working till i removed case and accidentally knocked aps ,then went on to work fine for the rest of may visit.
So im guessing at a new APS and flow switch but as I'm doing this job basically for free just charging parts was wanting with to check my very basic knowledge of the inners of a combi.
