Hi guys, this might be something or nothing, maybe I'm just super sensitive??

I've got a 1 year old 27cdi which works a dream. Fitted a wireless stat myself with some advice on here and that fires up and switches the boiler on/off when required with no problems.

The problem is that it sounds like the pump is working round the clock, regardless of whether the timer is on/timer/off. By that I mean, if I wake up in the dead of night when everything is completely quiet, I can hear the system running through my ice cold radiator (without the clanking and pinking of a hot rad/pipes).

When I switch the heating on I can hear the boiler kick in, but there is a constant hum regardless of on or off!!!
I've turned off the pre-heat for the water too so it's not like it's heating that constantly. But the 'E' (economy) button is lit.

Is this normal for a condensing boiler? If so, I'll just try and ignore it.

If not, is there anything you can suggest I try to help diagnose a fault before I get the plumber back in??

Many thanks.

Eddie.

No it's not normal. Could be the pcb. If it's only a year old call Worcester as it will be under warranty.

Thanks James, the installer is due back to arrange the first service so I'll get him on to it. And if he says the same and can't fix it, I'll go back to Worcester.
