Having a problem with the boiler which is causing the wife to have cold showers, equalling much anger vented towards me
In normal operation turning on the hot water the demand light is lit the gas ignites, pump and fan come on everything good.
More and more frequently the boiler does these things and then clicks off (the click is coming from a relay on the main control board)
If the hot deamnd is left on you can here the boiler clicking on and off repeatedly as it tries to provide hot water.
On some occasions hot water is demanded and the boiler does nothing. (no clicks) but this is pretty rare.
Curiously sometimes after filling the bath, sink etc the boiler will sit there with just the relay clicking on and off.
Whether the boiler provides hot water or not, the demand light is always lit.
The installation manual would lead me to believe that the main driver board needs replacing, does this sound viable?
Looking at the cct diagram the overheat thermostat could cycle the power to the relays and still leave the demand light on.
With this in mind i should mention that there is never any problem with the first shower of the day it is always when someone is using the shower directly after someone else!
