Worcester 280rsf room thermostat issue

Hi all, recently moved house to find the room thermostat not operating at correct temperate, it was on old Danfoss room stat.

I replaced it with a Drayton RTS1. Now my timer/programmer which is intergrated into my Worcester 280rsf is not switching the heating off, It is programmed correctly and the indicator light shuts off and switchs on at its correct time but there heating carrys on running from the room stat.

Is the new Drayton RTS1 overiding my timer/programmer? Could I fit a programable room stat instead of the Drayton RTS1?

It has 3 wires running from my boiler to the room stat, Live, Neutral and Switch.
