I've no hot water or central heating. Think it locked out on low pressure so I've repressurised and now need to reset. The back of panel says the reset button is on the top of the boiler, but there's a static sort of screwe thread with a nut at the bottom and a little plastic think with a red plastic cap on. Does anywone know which, ifany, is the reset button? I've also turned off the electric, run hot taps, to no avail ... Please can anyone help
Thanks in advance

Try the static sort of screwed thread button.

The red plastic thingy sounds like an auto air vent.

They sound like the overheat stat and the air vent. The reset button is the oval shapped button on the front panel which will flash red when there is a fault if i am thinking of the right model.

If the reset button is 'out', it will protrude from its surround by about 2-3mm only. Pressing this firmly, you will feel a definite click, but it wil only move the 2-3mm back in. When you have it reset, the small red button should be more ore less level with its surround.
