Worcester 30 CDI-two approaches re increasing pressure

Apologies that this is such a basic query but have seen two different approaches to this.
Just need to use the key to open lock then white square key to put water into boiler to increase pressure etc.
(I don’t have the detailed instruction booklet which would cover this).
One guide says you move the key to lock position, turn screw, and then return to unlock.
Another says you move key to unlock position, turn screw and the return key to lock.

Thanks for swift response. After fill do you have to return to unlock before removing key?

Sorry, obviously too obvious!!
Assume you can only remove key in unlock position.
