Have just relocated the boiler from inside the house to the outside garage so as to make room in the kitchen
The wall between is new brickwork with cavity insulation ( foil backed )
The remote thermostat no longer works for the heating / the hot water is fine. but it seems to loose its way and we have to pair the thermostat to the boiler by directly standing next to it...and then it looses its way again when back in the house.
Is this cos the signal is blocked by the foil backed insulation ?
does anyone make a sender booster to avoid this
or do we have to install a hard wired thermostat
or...is it / can we try something else please ?
thanks

put the reciever back in the house where it was and extend the cable form reciever to the boiler in the garage.

the reciever is likely part of the boiler.

stupid question...have you changed the batteries?

good point nickso , not done a worcester for a while,

If not batteries then take out worcester reciever and buy and instal the honeywell CMT927. Ive placed these recievers in attics (two story house) next to boiler and the transmitter works it from lounge on ground floor no problem

THANKS EVERYBODY
Have also heard about laying a bell wire between the garage and house to assist amplifying the remote signal
Changed batteries and now installing the bell wire..also attaching a steel coat hanger at each end to help with the reception
Will report the results later
