I have a Worcester 36Cdi that's about 5 years old. I always have the hot water Eco setting on but just recently I've noticed it keeps switching itself to Preheat. When I press and hold the Eco button, the display shows Eco but then when I check the boiler a few hours later it's showing preheat again.

Anyone know what's causing this ?

With some versions, if you have a 2 channel programmer fitted, the hot water channel can be used to switch the Eco function 'on' and 'off'. If this is the case, maybe that's switching it back 'on' again. If so, you can set the HW channel so that it's permanently 'off'.

If you don't have a 2 channel programmer fitted, then sorry I've no idea.

No, haven't got a 2 channel programmer fitted. I have a Worcester Wave controller on the wall but can't find anything there that would be causing it.

The Worcester wave is a 2 channel programmer, you need to check the HW settings on the wave
