Hi all, just found this forum and it seems really useful so hopefully someone can help me. I've got a worcester 80ic combi which wont fire up for hot water. The central heating works fine but it's not giving any hot water even when the heating is on. There is no manual present and I can't find any technical info for it anywhere. It doesn't seem to have a typical diverter valve or obvious flow switch that i can see. Does anyone have any experience of this particular boiler and whether it's a diaphram or flow switch problem?

All help greatfully recieved!

This is not a type number which I recognise!

Are the owner or a tenant?

Is it a combi or do you have a hot water tank?

I'm an engineer and it's the only one of these that i've ever seen but it definitely exists and it's definitely a combi. I think it may have been some sort of worcester experiment that didn't take off! I'd say it's less than 10 years old too. I think it's probably a diaphram thats gone but just wondered if anyone on here had any knowledge of it.

It may be a rebadged standard Worcester boiler (contracting companies do it to confuse customers and stop them checking around for prices) eg. as BG do with Celsia etc.

Tis indeed a worcester combi, GC 47-311-43

Thats all i know about it.

There is a micro switch underneath at the bottom but it sounds like you need a new water section the part number from hrpc is 400341 and the w/bosch number is 8-707-002-628-0 remeber if you replace this on the right hand side you will remove a brass section held in by a pin inside your old water section you will see a little brass venturi take it out and put it in the new one or it will not work good luck!

never heard of this one, and WB site does no list it under discontinued.
Can you post a pic?

Warren, your first posting is in reply to a thread from 2006 !

I expect he has had it sorted out by now!
