Worcester Bosch 42CDi - Making Loud Noises When Firing Up

When my boiler fires up it makes a loud "motorbike" type noise, which rattles the casing and vibrates throughout the house. This tends to last 5-10 seconds and doesn't seem to affect the heating and water.
Anyone else had this problem?

Could be a number of things including needing a proper service.

Call a gas engineer.

this could be a combustion problem which if it is needs attention , call an experienced gas engineer

I think the guys above have got it spot on. The gas valves on these can drift in min mode so the gas/air mixture is out. If it's serviced every year and checked/adjusted you won't have this problem.
