I have a worcester bosch 28CDI RSF.

At the weekend it failed with no visible issues but it seems there is a sensor issue as when either the hot water or the ch comes on the burner ignites but the boiler continues to spark for several seconds until eventually it switches off with the good old red flasshing light on the panel.

I did put more water into the system a few days ago but it has been working ok since then

It seems that the boiler is not recognising the presence of the flame. It might be a PCB fault or a problem within the combustion chamber which should normally only be accessed by a CORGI installer.

Common fault on these is the flame sensing electrode. Will often go out of place above the burner, but as has been said, an RGIs job.
