Hi
We recently purchased an old property, 1930's bungalow, and it has had a new boiler fitted about 4 yrs ago. It is the WB 30Si .
I am having an issue with the boiler that when the hot water is on, lets say in the kitchen, then the bathroom hot water will drop pressure considerably.
I have rang the chap who installed the boiler 4 yrs ago, and explained to him I am not looking to put blame on anyone, but I like to find out what the issue is to try and rectify the problem since I am refurbishing the house and moving the bathroom to a different location. So if it is piping issue, then I like to know what it is so that when it is replumbed, I don't have the same issue.
However the chap wasn't really interested and his response was that the combi boilers are not designed to be used with 2 taps running at the same time. The only option is to replace the boiler with one with an external tank ( combi with a separate pressure tank for hot water).
Is this the case?
The bungalow at the moment is a 2 bed bungalow, but in 18 months time we are converting by adding a full level above. Will the boiler be big enough to supply hot water to that size property? It will be basically a 4 bed house instead of a 2 bed bungalow.
Any help appreciated.
