Morning everyone,

I've got to replace the plate heat exchanger on the above boiler but the problem I have is that the central heating return and flow pipes go up at the back of the boiler to the first floor, then all of the pipes drop down to downstairs as we have a solid floor downstairs.

The problem I have is actually removing the plate heat exchanger as these flow and return pipes are in the way, they're virtually touching the heat exchanger. I've attached the photograph to show one side of the boiler.

Even if I replace the heat exchange from the front I somehow have to remove the flow and return pipes so the plate heat exchanger can come out fully.

Anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, if you take the front off this boiler it has to have checks carried out by a Gas Safe Registered Operative, so it's not DIY work.
