Due to lack of spare parts it looks like my old Worcester boiler has to be written off.
Have been recommended Worcester Greenstar 28i. Does anyone knw anything about them? Had Worcester 924 before - will it deliver similar performance?

Thanks in anticipation

great little boilers! only down side is it may be a bit slow to run a bath due to only being 28kw

if you could afford the difference a 35CDi greenstar would be a great suggestion.

However if you are on a budget you can not go wrong with the junior!

Nowt wrong with a greenstar 28i junior good boiler if matched to requirements, water pressure and flow.

Zimmers by 35 cdi i take it you mean the 37cdi, could of had a baby in the time that model was discontinued  ;)

Luckily then we don't have a bath only a thermostatic mixer shower of the combi system!

Though not a bad boiler, for the relatively small price difference, I would get the cdi of the same brand.
I come across far more I-series and juniors with problems than failing cdi’s.
I suspect that is for a considerable part due to the fact that they are budget models fitted by budget installers who cut corners. Still, the cdi is definitely better.
Having said that, a 28-I properly installed and serviced would probably outlast a cdi installed by a cowboy and left to die.

Then go for a 37cdi you wont regret it when having a shower if the flow is good ;)

Could not agree more Ben, only ever been called back to one of my intalls and thats cause she could not remember what I had said about the pressure guage.

It's not that wimmin don't listen, we don't speak loud enough.
