Hi All
The boiler is 15yrs old and this is the first failure.
Domestic hot water works OK
Room thermostat is switched on and is demanding heat.
System is pressurised to 1.5 bar cold
Boiler burner green light illuminates and fan runs up.
The temp increases for a few seconds and display flashes -!!- a few times
Fan then runs down and green light extinguishes.

If I switch off/on the thermostat, the above cycle repeats.

I have noticed that when switching the boiler off/on at the mains, it doesn't seem to conduct the 15min start up cycle.

Any thoughts?

Cheers All

That is the condensate syphon refilling symbol, leave it alone , it will come back on once it is satisfied , every time you cut the power this will happen

The boiler is in the airing cupboard and whilst clearing all the bedding out for the engineer, noticed a leak from within the boiler.
Apparently a common problem is a seal failing (thankfully it took 15yrs on this occasion)
My support package includes parts/labour but the engineer still needs authorization to change it!!!!
Time to seek authorisation takes longer than the fix.:evil:
