worcester greenstar boiler fault

Help needed for Worcester Bosch Greenstar R1. On fire up makes whooshing noise like filling with water. Green burner light is intermittent until eventually goes out altogether when boiler goes to lockout. Have checked whether air in boiler and seems ok. When system runs just with pump going no signs of air in system.

Strangely left pump running all night and boiler fired up perfectly this morning for about 10 minutes and then went into lock out.

Supect it is one of the sensors any thoughts. Thanks Colin

Just as well that you are not a detective or you would be making a lot of wrong arrests!

Your condensate outlet pipe is blocked !

Have a look at the model again, I don't think R1 exists! Could it be Ri? Is it a combi? And does it have a display with a lockout code on it or does it just have flashing lights? If so, what's the code or flashing light sequence?

Answer 100% correct. Had changed piece of condensate drain pipe before completing cupboard work around boiler. Suspected box may have caused boiler to overheat. Surprisingly found pipe work was blocked with debris.As drain pipe only used old pipe from workshop. Briliant answer from Agile..saved a fortune. Merry Xmas and thanks.
